LOSC Lille vs Everton (Europa League, 23.10.2014)

October 22, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

The two headliners from group H meet in France for bragging rights on who gets to be called the team to bounce back from a not so good internal league from. Currently, Everton are the only team in the group to be able to win a game, and while neither can afford a draw, they have enough talent to decide a match, even if with the current group standings Lille needs to win more.

Lille have one win in the last five matches, three of which are defeats and one draw against Wolfsburg. Martin, Lopes and Ryan Mendes are all unavailable for selection due to injuries which does not bode well for a team that are currently on the 8th place in Ligue 1 with 15 points after 10 match days. Their problem is not the attacking power, but the finishing of created chances which almost never end up in goals. A case for study: their Champions League qualification tie against Porto, where they were unable to really threaten the Portuguese goal line.
Everton are not looking too sharp either, as they sport the counter performance of having conceded 16 goals in Premier League. However their most recent result is a win against Aston Villa where they kept a clean sheet. After winning against Wolfsburg, they failed to capitalize on being the favorites and ended the match against Krasnodar in a draw, and their performance was mainly dictated by injuries, but Everton should take comfort on getting Seamus Coleman and Ross Barkley back from long injury spells. Roberto Martinez will also be able to count on Naismith being in top form, seeing as the striker has already 4 goals to his tally.

For this particular match we’re betting 8 units on an outright Everton win at 2.90 odds with Unibet. Lille to win has 2.50 odds and both teams to score has 1.88 odds. Samuel Eto’o is the main choice in the betting market of a player hitting the crossbar but without scoring with 10.00 odds. No goals in the first half with 2.60 odds and Origi to score 3.35 odds. Lukaku in the same betting market has 3.00 odds and Samuel Eto’o 3.35, with Steven Naismith at 3.75 to score anytime.

Galatasaray vs Borussia Dortmund (Champions League, 22.10.2014)

October 21, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Galatasaray play at home in attempt to pick up further points in group D, while Borussia Dortmund will try to shake off their horrible Bundesliga form. The visitors are on the first place in the group table with six points, a stark contrast to the 14th place in Bundesliga, meanwhile Galatasaray are on the second place in the domestic league and last in the Champions League group.

Against German teams, Galatasaray have a poor record, having only won twice in 13 matches. They are going like clockwork in Turkey and with three consecutive league wins they stand one point behind the leaders. Their most recent result is a win over Fenerbahce where Sneijder scored two wonder goals. They have no new injuries, unlike Dortmund with Erik Durm out due to a thigh injury. Felipe Melo and Dzemaili are both one booking away from suspension which is why 888sport gave them2.80 and respectively 3.10 odds to get booked.
Borussia Dortmund are having one of the worst starts in their Bundesliga history and showing no signs of improvement though they got some of their injured players back. The one tipped to make the most impact on a frail Dortmund side is Marco Reus, forced to replace Durm in the match against Cologne. Ciro Immobile apparently can only score during Champions League games which is why Dortmund could end up winning this encounter. But the visitors are not a team to focus on one player to win; gone are the days when Lewandowski was the one deciding the matches. Now, Dortmund have Reus, Ramos, Aubameyang and sometimes Mkhitaryan.

Schmelzer broke his hand in the match against Hamburg and will be sidelined for a few weeks, Błaszczykowski who returned to training earlier last week, got a thigh strain and will miss another month of matches. The road for the visitors to get back on track starts on Wednesday and even the bookies back them to win. 888sport gives Dortmund 1.78 odds to win, Galatasaray 4.55 and a draw has 3.80 odds. The visitors to lead at half time is at 2.35 odds, Galatasaray 4.50 and Dortmund to score in both halves 2.55 odds. An even number of corners for the match 1.90 odds, and Galatasaray to commit the most fouls has 1.60 odds, Borussia Dortmund 2.60. We are betting 7 units on Marco Reus to score anytime at 2.55 odds with 888sport.
