Sevilla – Atletico Madrid [Recap]

Last weekend, a solitary strike from Radamel Falcao scored for Atletico Madrid was enough to win the match against Sevilla and for me to win the bet I placed on Atletico Madrid with odds from William Hill.

In the match played against Sevilla, Los Colchoneros were frustrated most of the time by the outfit of Unai Emery; the vital goal of the match came in the 12th minute with the help of Radamel Falcao. Raul Garcia also tried his chances with a volley sent from the edge of the penalty area, and that was the point when the Colombian striker stuck out a leg and turned the ball into the net past Antonio Beto.

It appeared like the visitors were comfortably to see out the victory, but in the dying minutes they were given a late scare. In injury time, Ivan Rakitic crashed a free kick off the crossbar, enabling Atletico to maintain the pressure on Jose Mourinho’s players in second place in the league.

With Diego Simeone’s men running out a neat 1-0 victory over Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Atletico Madrid remain just three points behind rivals Real Madrid in La Liga.

Result: +12 units, bet won

I got into the exciting world of sports betting years ago when information on the subject was much more difficult to find. Of course I made a lot of rookie mistakes and bad bets but over time I learned from those experiences. Nowadays, those who want to start out placing sports bets have the opposite problem. There’s so much information available that it’s so hard to sort through it all and to know who to listen to. With this blog I’ll be doing that work for you and I’ll strive to bring you nothing but the best betting tips and information the internet has to offer. I invite you, my readers, to actively participate and share your feelings and experiences by commenting on my blog entries!

Not exactly what I was expecting from this match, but a 1-0 victory is…still a victory 🙂
