Schalke 04 vs Eintracht Frankfurt [Prediction, April 11th]

Schalke 04 has a 7 points advantage over Gladbach on the table, yet it still craves the second spot, currently occupied by Borussia Dortmund. Considering Dortmund plays at Allianz Arena on Saturday, Schalke’s plans are to be at level of points with Dortmund, which makes them the overall favorites with the bookies to win in the match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Despite having a good Bundesliga season, their Champions League loss to Real Madrid served as a sort of wake up call, which prompted the team to develop an unbeaten run. Their latest result was a 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen where they saw themselves being led since the 15th minute. None of Schalke’s hopes for goals were able to actually finalize one, and it took an 18 year old midfielder, Goretzka to do so.
Eintracht Frankfurt is on the 11th place in Bundesliga, and through surprising wins and draws they somehow managed to position themselves safe of the relegation zone with 35 points. They only lost twice in their last five matches, and now with Alex Meier back from injury they hope for a good result against Schalke, who have their own share of injuries.

Höwedes, Clemens and Kirchhoff among others are either sure or doubtful to miss the clash. The hosts have lost only twice while playing at home this season, while Frankfurt only managed to win four matches away from home. To their advantage could also be the fact that they don’t have any pressure to win, just to show up and since their last match ended with a minimum Schalke 04 advantage, expect a tight game this time around.

A draw between the two sides is at 3.60, while a Frankfurt win at 5.05. Schalke to lead at halftime is at 2.25, both teams to score at 1.50 and a -1 Asian Handicap for Frankfurt at 2.06. We are going to bet 8 units on Schalke to score in both halves at 2.30 with odds from 888sport.
