Chelsea have some old scores to settle as they return to Parc des Princes to face Paris Saint Germain in Champions League. Last year PSG won with 3-1 and one of the goals was scored by David Luiz, back then a Chelsea player. William Hill gives 9.00 odds for an own goal this around.
Paris Saint Germain have an unbeaten run since May 2014 when playing at Parc des Princes. They are currently third in Ligue 1 and with only two points from the first place; they are well on course for another title. However, the fact that they threw away a 2-0 lead against the 15th placed Ligue 1 team suggest their injury worries have taken a toll on the team. Cabaye, Marquinhos, Aurier and Lucas were unable to finish the Caen clash and chances are neither will be fit for tomorrow’s match. Matuidi and Maxwell are also listed by PSG as under doubt for the clash with Chelsea and Laurent Blanc is left to hope Thiago Silva’s expertise will be enough to help Sirigu withstand the attacks.
Chelsea London sit comfortable on the first place in Premier League with a seven points advantage from the second place. Their Wednesday minimal win against Everton showed it does take Diego Costa’s expertise for the Blues to hope for more than one goal in Premier League games. Jose Mourinho seems to have a much healthier squad with only Filipe Luis and Obi Mikel under doubt. Chelsea are a much stronger side this year and one of the players to decide the match is Eden Hazard a player with 13 assists this season and seven goals scored.
While PSG are somewhat built around Ibrahimovic, Chelsea seem to have been built not around Costa, but around Hazard to find the space for counter attacks, while Fabregas will be expected to assist Costa for the goals. In the end it might come once again to Ibrahimovic to carry on PSG on good terms after the first leg and the bookmakers do not seem to predict who will emerge as a winner in this match.
William Hill gives both Chelsea and PSG 2.75 odds to win, while a draw has 3.00 odds. Both teams to score has 1.91 odds and Ibrahimovic has 2.25 odds to score, Cavani 3.00 and Lavezzi with Moura both have 3.40 odds to score. For Chelsea Diego Costa has 2.25 odds to score, Remy 2.75 and Drogba with Eden Hazard both have 3.00 as anytime goalscorers. PSG to lead after 75 minutes have 2.70 odds, Chelsea 2.75 and we’re going to bet 7 units on the second half being Chelsea’s highest scoring one with 2.62 odds from William Hill.
