Czech Republic vs Netherlands (Euro 2016 Qualifiers, September 9th)

The Netherlands travel to Prague for their opening group A match against the Czech Republic, and both teams aim for first points. The hosts will try to avoid another narrow elimination, like the one for the Brazil tournament when they were edged out by Denmark. The visitors are the team tipped to win in Prague, and Unibet gives them 1.90 odds while the Czech Republic got 4.00.

The hosts might be aware that Netherlands are the favorites of the group, but they can still compete for the second spot with Turkey. Pavel Vrba was enjoying a good run at the Czech Republic’s helm, until they lost last week against USA. Petr Cech and Tomas Rosicky are the players with the better experience in the team, but since neither are the first choice for their respective club teams, it is yet to be determined the impact they might have on the team.
Guss Hiddink’s first match at the helm of the Netherlands is plagued with injury worries, Van Persie is not yet fully fit, Arjen Robben, Van der Vaart and Huntelaar will also be missing which leaves the visitors without their biggest goalscorers. Their loss against Italy saw Martins Indi getting a red card which makes him also unavailable for the selection. That was their first real test and now they need to prove worthy of being the third best team in the world. In their last nine head to head matches, both teams have won three times and the last three ended in draws.

Out of their last seven matches, Netherlands lost only one, which is why the bet on an outright visitors win will end up having value, as a draw is at 3.40 with Unibet. Over 2.5 goals is at 2.04, Netherlands for both halves at 2.95, the same betting market for the hosts is at 6.25 and over 10.5 corners is at 1.90. We are betting 7 units on over 1.5 goals in the second half at 2.23 with Unibet.
