Chelsea vs Arsenal [Recap, March 22]

We only predicted half a bet when going for both teams to score and Chelsea to win betting market with odds from William Hill. The feel you would have got after the match was that there was only one team on the field, and a Szczesny who even with great reflexes couldn’t withstand the attacks by himself.

Chelsea started the match with a really fast pace and was rewarded with a goal on the 4th minute when Eto’o gave Chelsea the lead after a well-placed ball which Szczesny couldn’t reach. And barely two minutes after, Jose Mourinho remembered he has a great asset in the strikers department that is not Fernando Torres. Andre Schürrle made it 2-0 after sending the ball through Koscielny’s legs.

Nobody really knows the reason Arsene Wenger sent in a starting eleven that had the midfield looking deserted, and have only Sagna near Hazard. Another mistake that raised more than one eyebrow occurred in the 15th minute, when Gibbs was sent off even though it was Chamberlain to commit the offense inside the box. Apparently the referee didn’t want to take into account nor the Chelsea squad, not Chamberlain himself as he sent off the wrong guy without wanting to listen to reasons.

It ended with a 6-0 score that did little to no good to make Arsene’s Wenger’s 1000th match at Arsenal’s helm a party. Arsenal needed at least a point out of this match, to really be able to hope for a title, but now they’ll have proper time to concentrate fully on the FA Cup where they are the outright favorites to win.
