PSG vs Bayer Leverkusen [Prediction, March 12]

March 11, 2014 0 Predictions, Soccer, Sports

Paris Saint Germain is expected to have an easy game in the 2nd leg, when they will host a Bayer Leverkusen facing problems.

Having lost to Barcelona last year in the quarterfinals, PSG looks forward to shine on the European scene this season. Having won 5 out of 5 last matches in all competitions, and with a 4-0 in the 1st leg, the French are more confident than ever. Matuidi, Cabaye and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were the ones to score in the away game. Laurent Blanc will be able to count on them for the Tuesday match also.
On the other hand, the Germans will have a tough time with Kruse, Hegeler, Bender and Toprak forced to stay out of the pitch because of injury problems. Domestically, Bayern Leverkusen is also having problems, dropping to the 3rd place of Bundesliga table. They finally broke their series of 3 defeats in a row, with a 1-1 draw at Hannover in their last match, with Gonzalo Castro the one to score.

And as if this wasn’t enough, 5 of Leverkusen’s players have been booked in the 1st leg, while Emir Spahic is unavailable after getting a red card. On the French side, only Matuidi has to play a more careful game.

We will place 7.00 units at bet365 for a 2-0 win by PSG, with the bookmaker offering a 7.50 odd for this result. The same bookmaker has a PSG victory priced at 1.50, a draw stands for 5.00, while Bayer Leverkusen’s chances of winning the game are offered an odd of 9.00. For the chances of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score 2 or more goals, bet365 is offering an odd of 3.50.

Toulouse vs. AS Monaco [Prediction, January 19th]

January 17, 2014 0 Betting, Soccer, Sports

Toulouse has a longer injury list than AS Monaco, who can only say they are missing Martial and Dirar. Even though the hosts are without Chantome, Abdennour, Sana and Soukuna, they can still show off an impressive home record of 10 unbeaten matches. Their topscorers are Braithwaite and Ben Yedder with 6 and 5 goals respectively. For Monaco, Falcao and Riviere are where the goals lie, with 9 and 8 goals.

Regardless of the place Toulouse are on, they are expected to put up a fight and many bookies tip them off as the winners of the three points. AS Monaco seemed to have found a backup plan to Falcao’s injury, James Rodriguez is the creative mastermind behind their latest successes and the pressure the team seems to keep on PSG.

There is still no concrete news from either Falcao or his agents about his rumored departure from the club, though talks about it have been floating around since weeks now. Falcao scored in his debut match for AS Monaco, but it looks like he still can’t settle, but until he confirms it himself there’s not much either bookies or we could predict.

888sport has Monaco to win at 1.92 and Toulouse at 4.20, while the draw is accounted for at 3.20. Also Monaco is tipped with over 1.5 goals for the entire match at 3.85, and we’d back them up with 7 units for that result to happen.

AS Roma vs. Livorno [Prediction, January 18th]

January 16, 2014 0 Betting, Soccer, Sports

AS Roma has some difficult games lining up for them, but the bookies and  Rudi Garcia seems to think his team can pull this off. They are on the second place in Serie A, and even though some regular players might be rested, no one will end up harmed in the long run. Roma is 8 points behind Juventus, and have an advantage over their competitors, which puts them on the Champions League radar.

Livorno on the other hand is not doing so well; they sacked the head coach, who promoted the team to Serie A this season, a thing which angered the fans. The team also lost all their away games; they concede goals with such easiness that if you look at their position on the table you’ll end up guessing the end result of this match.

Going for a Roma win to nil might be unprofitable as it’s a sure bet and has really low odds. They have a really good attacking force and even their defenders can score a goal or two. Benatia already has 5 goals on his account, but the danger could also come from the likes of Totti, Destro or even Maicon.

The over 3.5 goals betting market again looks like a shoe in for a Roma match, especially if you go for over 2.5 goals in the first half, betfair will give you odds of 5.25, also for Roma to have scored an odd number of goals goes for 2.85, on which we placed 7 units.

Juventus Torino – Sampdoria [Prediction, January 18th]

January 15, 2014 0 Betting, Soccer, Sports

Juventus were the winners of the first half of Serie A with 8 points clear of AS Roma and of course continuing the record of eleven unbeaten matches in the competition. Now back to stage 22 of Serie A, Juventus meets Sampdoria, a team that’s on the 12th place, and surprisingly, is one point behind AC Milan.

Even though Juve act as hosts and are not sporting any injuries, they still remember last year on the 6th of January when Sampdoria beat them at home with 1-2. The difference from last year is, that now Juventus Torino is a completely different team and should tamper with any attempts of disrupting their brilliant run.

Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente will be the one threat Sampdoria won’t have the power to stop. In their last two visits to Torino, Sampdoria has managed an average of 4 points, and even though now it’s even more difficult to get a positive result Robert Siriano is confident his teammates will do their best.

Juventus’ latest result is a 4-1 win over Cagliari, and Samdporia won against Udinese with 3-0. This was their third clean sheet in five matches, but it still doesn’t guarantee them with a shot to win. The bookmakers are all keen on betting on Juve to win, so if you want a profitable bet join us with 8 units in going for the over 2.5 goals which goes for 2.10 with bet365.

Hamburg – Leverkusen [Recap]

May 22, 2013 0 Betting, Soccer, Sports

Bundesliga went out with a bang, the 2012-2013 edition had its fair share of records, but also disappointments, one of which was Hamburg, who lost their last home game to Leverkusen and thus failed to secure a Europa league spot. They were the better team, with the biggest chances and a Rene Adler in a great shape against his former club.

Leverkusen had one of the first openings in the game through Hegeler, but Adler was right in the spot to deflect the shot. Several minutes later van der Vaart was denied the goal by one of Leverkusen’s stoppers when he was only 5 meters from the target. Even though Leverkusen could have scored before break, Stefan Kiessling’s volley was once again deflected by Rene Adler. After the break he stopped another shot by Andre Schurrle, and had several amazing saves, but everything crashed on the 90th minute when Sidney Sam passed the ball to Kiessling who had one of the easiest tasks.

This way Kiessling (pictured below) scored his 25th goal of the season and won the title of top Bundesliga scorer, with just one goal above Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski, who was poised to win the title for the entire season. Leverkusen is sure to need him in Champions League, and he looked mighty happy to have won the prize for the work that sent his team right up with the giants of the German football.

Seeing as Leverkusen managed to win their last Bundesliga game, I managed to win the bet placed on a Bayer Leverkusen’s victory with odds from bet365, thus winning 8.05 units.

Result: +8.05 units, bet won
