Arsenal London vs Leicester City (Premier League, 10.02.2015)

Arsenal return to Emirates to host Leicester, the last placed Premier League team in an attempt to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat against Tottenham. Nobody expected the Gunners to lose, but it happened and now they are out of the European football zone and will need to win three points against the red lantern of the competition.

Arsenal changed the tactics for the match against Tottenham and went for more defending while trying to make up for the loss of Alexis Sanchez due to injury. According to Arsene Wenger the Chilean might see a starting spot on Tuesday, but Oxlade-Chamberlain will for sure miss out. In terms of squad depth Arsenal might feel the need to rest Ramsey and maybe field Rosicky in his place, while the forward line might end up looking better with Welbeck and Sanchez. The Gunners were summing up three consecutive wins before falling to Tottenham which is why they might be eager to get back on track.
Leicester has three defeats and a win in the last four matches, the latest miss on the three points came as a result of the defeat against Crystal Palace. The visitors are 4 points away from escaping the relegation zone and while Nugent has been showing signs of creating goalscoring chances, if Leicester are to score against Arsenal it will be through either Ulloa or Cambiasso. They do not seem to have any new injury worries and Leicester’s manager is being a realist: “For myself as the manager of the side who are bottom of the Premier League, what I can’t do is hide from the facts,” he said. “The facts are that we are where we are and, so far, we have not been beaten in a game where we’ve been absolutely rollercoastered.”

Arsenal has won the last seven matches at Emirates; however Leicester has ended up being rather uncomfortable opponent for the Gunners. In the last four matches between the two, Leicester managed two draws and Arsenal won the remaining two matches. This time around Bet365 gives Arsenal 1.25 odds to win, Leicester got 12.00 and another draw has 6.00. Over 2.5 goals has 1.53 odds, both teams to score 1.90, Arsenal for both halves 1.72, Leicester 21.00 and the Gunners to win to nil have 2.05 odds. We are going to bet 7 units on Arsenal winning both halves with 2.50 odds from Bet365.
