AC Milan vs Sassuolo (Coppa Italia, 13.01.2015)

This Tuesday, an eight placed AC Milan side in deep crisis host Sassuolo in Coppa Italia. The match provides many interesting bets seeing as just a week ago Milan lost against them in Serie A after opening the score in the 9th minute and managing to keep up the lead only for 20 minutes.

This Milan side looks exhausted, but with so much potential to really do well, it started baffling people that in some Serie A matches they were undeserving even with the one point they got. De Sciglio got a red card in the draw against Torino, and his absence could offer Abate a starting spot. Alessio Cerci is eagerly waiting to start in a match which has the hosts as the overwhelming favorites.
Sassuolo are currently on the 11th place in Serie A, at just two points behind Milan. Their latest match is a 1-1 draw against Udinese and this match against Milan in Coppa Italia is their first in the history of the competition. The team is very good at scoring with Zaza and Berardi being in good form to test Milan’s frail defensive line. Milan looks more comfortable playing at home, and Inzaghi might want to field the best he has at the moment. Muntari might find himself on the bench following his outburst during the match against Torino, which prompted the Milan coach that his team lacks confidence.

Milan won three out of their last eight home matches, lost three and have two draws, but prior to losing to Sassuolo in Serie A, they were on an unbeaten run of four matches in all competitions. Jeremy Menez is the main choice for Milan in the goalscorer market even if the most talked about betting market is both teams to score with 1.82 odds from Unibet. Sassuolo scored in their last seven matches, AC Milan is expected to win with the same result they recently lost with, and a 2-1 Milan win has 8.50 odds.

An AC Milan win has 1.68 odds, Sassuolo to win has 5.00 odds and a draw has 3.60 odds. The hosts with a -1 handicap has 2.28 odds, Sassuolo with a +1 1.60, and Milan to win at least one half has 1.35 odds. We are going to bet 5 units on both teams to score in the second half with 3.50 odds from Unibet.
