Bayer Leverkusen vs FC Koln (Bundesliga, 29.11.2014)

November 28, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Bayer Leverkusen host FC Köln at Bay Arena to determine whether they are good enough for an automatic Champions League spot next year. Bundesliga has been so far one of mixed results for the hosts, they even managed the counter performance of losing to Hamburger SV. Köln come from a defeat against Hertha even if they have bragging rights on a home win against Borussia Dortmund.

Köln are currently on the 11th place in Bundesliga with 15 points, while Bayer Leverkusen stand on the fourth place with a 10 point gap from the leaders. They come from a Champions League defeat against AS Monaco, that makes them tremble to think about the first place, now that Monaco stand just one point behind them in group C. The good news is that Kiessling finally scored, and you could take a risk and place a bet on him to score again. But Leverkusen is one of those teams who are most dangerous on counter attacks from the wins, with Bellarabi and Min Son, with Drmic always a possibility in the starting eleven.
Köln could start with Ujah in the place of Zoller in the forward line while Marcel Riise is also unavailable for selection due to injury. The visitors are experiencing problems with converting their chances into goals, and it could damage their chances of getting a good result against Leverkusen. Their back line is where they are at their best and the reason why they are among the best Bundesliga defenses. Last time Köln traveled to Bay Arena they managed to win with 1-4, but now the same result has 126.00 odds with Bet365.

Leverkusen are undefeated in their last 10 games at Bay Arena, but always expect Köln to put up a fight. An outright Bayer Leverkusen win has 1.50 odds, Köln to win has 6.50 odds, and a draw has 4.33 odds. Köln with a +1.0 handicap 2.05 odds, both teams to score in the second half 3.40 odds, and Bayer Leverkusen to win to nil has 2.50 odds. We are going to bet 7 units on the second half to be the highest scoring one for Köln with 2.87 odds from Bet365.

West Bromwich vs Arsenal (Premier League, 29.11.2014)

November 28, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Arsenal will attempt to put their Premier League campaign back on track against West Bromwich who are on the 13th place. The hosts are unable to win against the Gunners since 2010, and the visitors need to recover from the winless streak of three matches. The bookies have little doubt about the winners and give Arsenal 1.85 odds to win outright.

The Gunners come from an unexpected, but very well-deserved win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League group stage that secured them the qualification for next round, but they need a good result against Galatasaray and an Anderlecht win away to Dortmund to be sure of the first place. The obvious bad news comes in form of new injury worries for Arsene Wenger as Mikel Arteta is tipped to be out for a long time after a calf problem picked up earlier this week. Yaya Sanogo is also out with a hamstring injury and Jack Wilshere is set to undergo a surgery on his ankle which will keep him on the sidelines for at least three months.. Wojciech Szczesny is another name set to miss the West Bromwich match, as the hosts will miss on Olsson for the rest of the year due to an impeding surgery on his Achilles tendon.
West Bromwich also come from two consecutive defeats, the most recent one against Chelsea, and the hosts were unable to score in either of them. Berahino is their main goalscorer with 8 successes and statistics point out to West Bromwich being specialists in draws when playing at home, they have three draws, two losses and one win against Burnley. Arsenal have been alternating between a win and a loss in their recent Premier League outings, and if the circle continues they should be the ones winning this.

Alexis, 2.30 odds to score anytime, and Danny Welbeck, 2.43 to score anytime, are some of the safest picks you could have for this game, even if you could also bet on Giroud to score anytime with 2.35 odds. A West Bromwich win has 4.25 odds with Unibet, both teams to score 1.74 and over 1.5 goals in the first half has 2.70 odds. The defining question for this match will be who needs the win more and if Arsene Wenger can motivate his players and have fans not be afraid even if their team are leading with 2-0 in the 82th minute, Arsenal can get their campaign back on track. We are going to bet 7 units on Arsenal winning at least one half with 2.45 odds from Unibet.

Atletico Madrid vs Olympiakos (Champions League, 26.11.2014)

November 25, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Atletico Madrid host Olympiakos for what will be a hard fought match with a lot of goals, considering the group A leaders need to make amends after that shock defeat from the first leg. With two games to spare, Atletico are on the first place in the group with nine points, and Olympiakos hopes to qualify if they win in Madrid and Juventus does not win against Malmo.

The La Liga champions are currently on the third place in the table, two points short of Barcelona and four from Real Madrid. Atletico had an unbeaten run of five matches before they fell at the hands of Real Sociedad with 2-1. After that defeat, Diego Simeone managed to rally his team, and they went on winning with 3-1 against Malaga, but had to do so without Mario Mandzukic who got a knock and had to be substituted on the 57th minute. In Champions League, Atletico managed to keep a clean sheet in all matches after the defeat against Olympiakos and will look forward for a fourth match with the same result.
Olympiakos are placed second in the Super League table, but considering all matches in Greece were suspended indefinitely due to an attack on the assistant director of the Central Refereeing Committee, the visitors do not have practice of weekend matches. Jimmy Durmaz is under doubt for Olympiakos with a thigh strain and Jimenez is tipped to stay in the line against his former club. Atletico will be without Miranda, but with Turan in great form, and Mandzukic to be submitted to a fitness test.

Atletico won both their Champions League games, with an aggregate score of 6-0, and Vicente Calderon is where the hosts look more solid, they won 7 out of eight matches at home. An Atletico win has 1.35 odds, Olympiakos 9.00 and a draw has 5.00 odds. We are betting 7 units on Atletico to score over 2.5 goals per match with 2.75 odds from 888sport. Mitroglou to score has 5.80 odds, Affellay 7.00, while for Atletico Mandzukic has 2.04 odds to score anytime, Griezmann 2.48, Koke and Arda Turan 4.20.

Schalke 04 vs Chelsea London (Champions League, 25.11.2014)

November 24, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Schalke 04 will try to secure their play-off qualification in the match against the group leaders, as Chelsea look forward to continue their unbeaten run and a third win is on the cards for the Blues. The press has pitted this match as a revenge for Roberto Di Matteo, Schalke’s newest coach that won the Champions League in Munich in 2012 with Chelsea only to be fired several months later.

The first match ended in a 1-1 draw, and since then Schalke has been in a slump in Bundesliga, but since Di Matteo took over, they started to recover and it got to the point where they won against the second placed Wolfsburg. They were leading with 3-0 only to see Wolfsburg score two goals through Olic and Bendtner, but the Fuchs – Höwedes duo managed to keep the three points behind the Royal Blues. The hosts will be without Draxler out with a thigh injury since last month while Boateng and Huntelaar are one booking away from suspension.
Chelsea face Schalke while being unbeaten in all competitions so far, and if they win in Germany they will secure the qualification from the first place. They have three points advantage at the top of the table, and even if Mourinho rests some players, expect him to field an attacking side that will deliver the goals. It is yet unclear whether Diego Costa is not tired enough to start seeing as Mourinho is now fielding him once a week to give some rest to the 26-year old striker. Cesc Fabregas and Loic Remy are both available for selection, but tipsters suggest Oscar should be given a spot.

The match promises to be one with goals
, not a dull moment even if Chelsea will park their bus. While both teams might be satisfied with the draw, we don’t see either side stopping themselves from improving their goal difference. William Hill gives Chelsea 1.85 odds to win, Schalke got 4.50 and a draw has 3.30 odds. If the match ends in a goalless draw and you bet on the correct score, the bookmaker will return your stake in form of a free bet.

Huntelaar to score has 2.80 odds, Choupo Moting 3.40, Ogbuke 3.75 and both Meyer and Sidney Sam have 4.00 odds to score anytime. For Chelsea, Costa has 2.00 odds to score, Remy 2.30 and Drogba 2.40. Chelsea with a -1 handicap has 3.10 odds, and we’re betting 5 units on the coupled market of both teams to score and Chelsea to win with 3.75 odds from the same bookie.

Arsenal vs Manchester United (Premier League Recap, 22.11.2014)

Arsenal vs Manchester United (Premier League, 22.11.2014)

November 21, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Arsenal will try to overcome the so called curse of beating Manchester United at the Emirates, a thing which they have not done since 2011, and all the other meetings have been either a draw or a narrow Manchester United win, save for that infamous 8-2 loss Arsenal suffered while playing at Old Trafford in August 2011.

Both teams have their fair share of injuries, Arsenal will be without Ozil, Debuchy, Walcott, Ospina and Koscielny, while United have provoked the hysteria of announcing that Falcao will miss the match due to his ever nagging injury which prevented him for playing for United for over a month now. David De Gea picked up a thumb injury during training for national team, but will be fit to play in the line against Arsenal. Daley Blind was seriously injured during a Netherlands game and joined Carrick, Shaw, Di Maria, Rojo, Young, Jones, and Evans on the unavailable list, but several players are still due for a fitness test. Danny Welbeck is under doubt, while Arsene Wenger confirmed that Giroud and Arteta will be available for selection.
United have 16 points out of 11 matches while Arsenal have 17 points, and the outcome of this game will point towards the Champions League contender for next year. The visitors need the boost for the Champions League spot after their revenues dropped as a result of one match per week, but the Gunners are not an easy prey despite their shaky form. Man United come from a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, while Arsenal lost against Swansea City with 2-1.

There’s no doubt over who is Arsenal’s main man, Alexis Sanchez has been literally carrying the team for several matches now and has eight goals to boast with. For Manchester United the main man award will have to be divided between Di Maria, Rooney and Van Persie, the latter to be booed by Arsenal fans like there’s no tomorrow. He has scored only three goals so far, refuses to be present in the assists department, which is why he’ll be expecting others to engineer the goals for him.

Arsenal are the favorites to finally win against Man United for which Titan bet gives them 2.10 odds, while United got 3.45 odds in the same market. Another draw has 3.50 odds, Arsenal for both halves have 3.30 odds, Manchester United 5.50. Sanchez to score has 2.30 odds; Welbeck 2.37 and Podolski with Ramsey both have 3.60 odds in the same market. For Man United, Van Persie has 2.50 odds, Rooney 3.20 and Di Maria 4.00. We are going to bet 7 units on over 3.5 goals with 2.70 odds from Titan Bet.

Portugal vs Argentina (International Friendly, 18.11.2014)

November 18, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Whoever thought putting Portugal vs Argentina at Old Trafford and Scotland vs England the same day and still expect people to turn and see Messi vs Ronaldo to the point where there would be no tickets left miscalculated. The tickets are way too expensive for people who do not have a Manchester United membership card, which will most likely result in people watching the game in front of their TV stations, for free.

Portugal meet the World Cup finalists in a match up that saw Portugal failing in Brazil on all accounts, and Argentina reaching the final only to be met with German opposition that promised the local fans not to allow Argentina to win a title on Brazilian soil. Portugal come from a 1-0 over Armenia where once again the co-dependence on Ronaldo was proven to be true. Their last two qualifiers for the tournament in Brazil ended in the same 1-0 result where Ronaldo scored the winning goal.
Meanwhile Argentina have a squad of stars capable of winning a match when Lionel Messi is unable to do so. Case to study: the friendly against Germany that Di Maria won and the one against Croatia that Messi undeservedly won. La Albiceleste are the team with the bigger potential, and even if the tipsters predict a close call game, William Hill offers 1.86 odds for an outright Argentina win as opposed to Portugal’s 4.20. There are no major injury worries on both sides, and while Pepe and Carvalho will make up the defensive line Portugal will try to keep a clean sheet with, it is yet to be determined whether they will be able to withstand long Lamela, Higuain, Messi, Aguero, Tevez and Di Maria.

Argentina for both halves have 3.10 odds, Portugal 7.00 and both teams to score 1.80 odds. Over 2.5 goals has been given 2.00 odds, Argentina to lead after 60 minutes 2.20 odds, Portugal 4.00 and the headline offers for this friendly are the most obvious ones: Ronaldo to score and Portugal to win with 5.00 odds and Messi to score and Argentina to win with 3.00 odds. We decided to bet 7 units on Ronaldo and Messi to score anytime with 4.33 odds.
