Bayer Leverkusen vs FC Koln (Bundesliga, 29.11.2014)

November 28, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Bayer Leverkusen host FC Köln at Bay Arena to determine whether they are good enough for an automatic Champions League spot next year. Bundesliga has been so far one of mixed results for the hosts, they even managed the counter performance of losing to Hamburger SV. Köln come from a defeat against Hertha even if they have bragging rights on a home win against Borussia Dortmund.

Köln are currently on the 11th place in Bundesliga with 15 points, while Bayer Leverkusen stand on the fourth place with a 10 point gap from the leaders. They come from a Champions League defeat against AS Monaco, that makes them tremble to think about the first place, now that Monaco stand just one point behind them in group C. The good news is that Kiessling finally scored, and you could take a risk and place a bet on him to score again. But Leverkusen is one of those teams who are most dangerous on counter attacks from the wins, with Bellarabi and Min Son, with Drmic always a possibility in the starting eleven.
Köln could start with Ujah in the place of Zoller in the forward line while Marcel Riise is also unavailable for selection due to injury. The visitors are experiencing problems with converting their chances into goals, and it could damage their chances of getting a good result against Leverkusen. Their back line is where they are at their best and the reason why they are among the best Bundesliga defenses. Last time Köln traveled to Bay Arena they managed to win with 1-4, but now the same result has 126.00 odds with Bet365.

Leverkusen are undefeated in their last 10 games at Bay Arena, but always expect Köln to put up a fight. An outright Bayer Leverkusen win has 1.50 odds, Köln to win has 6.50 odds, and a draw has 4.33 odds. Köln with a +1.0 handicap 2.05 odds, both teams to score in the second half 3.40 odds, and Bayer Leverkusen to win to nil has 2.50 odds. We are going to bet 7 units on the second half to be the highest scoring one for Köln with 2.87 odds from Bet365.

West Bromwich vs Arsenal (Premier League, 29.11.2014)

November 28, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Arsenal will attempt to put their Premier League campaign back on track against West Bromwich who are on the 13th place. The hosts are unable to win against the Gunners since 2010, and the visitors need to recover from the winless streak of three matches. The bookies have little doubt about the winners and give Arsenal 1.85 odds to win outright.

The Gunners come from an unexpected, but very well-deserved win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League group stage that secured them the qualification for next round, but they need a good result against Galatasaray and an Anderlecht win away to Dortmund to be sure of the first place. The obvious bad news comes in form of new injury worries for Arsene Wenger as Mikel Arteta is tipped to be out for a long time after a calf problem picked up earlier this week. Yaya Sanogo is also out with a hamstring injury and Jack Wilshere is set to undergo a surgery on his ankle which will keep him on the sidelines for at least three months.. Wojciech Szczesny is another name set to miss the West Bromwich match, as the hosts will miss on Olsson for the rest of the year due to an impeding surgery on his Achilles tendon.
West Bromwich also come from two consecutive defeats, the most recent one against Chelsea, and the hosts were unable to score in either of them. Berahino is their main goalscorer with 8 successes and statistics point out to West Bromwich being specialists in draws when playing at home, they have three draws, two losses and one win against Burnley. Arsenal have been alternating between a win and a loss in their recent Premier League outings, and if the circle continues they should be the ones winning this.

Alexis, 2.30 odds to score anytime, and Danny Welbeck, 2.43 to score anytime, are some of the safest picks you could have for this game, even if you could also bet on Giroud to score anytime with 2.35 odds. A West Bromwich win has 4.25 odds with Unibet, both teams to score 1.74 and over 1.5 goals in the first half has 2.70 odds. The defining question for this match will be who needs the win more and if Arsene Wenger can motivate his players and have fans not be afraid even if their team are leading with 2-0 in the 82th minute, Arsenal can get their campaign back on track. We are going to bet 7 units on Arsenal winning at least one half with 2.45 odds from Unibet.

Atletico Madrid vs Olympiakos (Champions League, 26.11.2014)

November 25, 2014 0 Betting, Predictions, Soccer

Atletico Madrid host Olympiakos for what will be a hard fought match with a lot of goals, considering the group A leaders need to make amends after that shock defeat from the first leg. With two games to spare, Atletico are on the first place in the group with nine points, and Olympiakos hopes to qualify if they win in Madrid and Juventus does not win against Malmo.

The La Liga champions are currently on the third place in the table, two points short of Barcelona and four from Real Madrid. Atletico had an unbeaten run of five matches before they fell at the hands of Real Sociedad with 2-1. After that defeat, Diego Simeone managed to rally his team, and they went on winning with 3-1 against Malaga, but had to do so without Mario Mandzukic who got a knock and had to be substituted on the 57th minute. In Champions League, Atletico managed to keep a clean sheet in all matches after the defeat against Olympiakos and will look forward for a fourth match with the same result.
Olympiakos are placed second in the Super League table, but considering all matches in Greece were suspended indefinitely due to an attack on the assistant director of the Central Refereeing Committee, the visitors do not have practice of weekend matches. Jimmy Durmaz is under doubt for Olympiakos with a thigh strain and Jimenez is tipped to stay in the line against his former club. Atletico will be without Miranda, but with Turan in great form, and Mandzukic to be submitted to a fitness test.

Atletico won both their Champions League games, with an aggregate score of 6-0, and Vicente Calderon is where the hosts look more solid, they won 7 out of eight matches at home. An Atletico win has 1.35 odds, Olympiakos 9.00 and a draw has 5.00 odds. We are betting 7 units on Atletico to score over 2.5 goals per match with 2.75 odds from 888sport. Mitroglou to score has 5.80 odds, Affellay 7.00, while for Atletico Mandzukic has 2.04 odds to score anytime, Griezmann 2.48, Koke and Arda Turan 4.20.
