AC Milan vs Inter Milano [Prediction, May 4th]

April 30, 2014 0 Uncategorized

In Derby della Madonnina there is no home pitch advantage and no obvious favorites a thing which is highly disputable if you look at the teams and their current position in the table. AC Milan all but bid goodbye to their European chances after the defeat to Roma, and before facing Inter.

Milan lost without any right to appeal the match against AS Roma, and still find themselves on the 10th place in Serie A; at level of points with Parma, but with a much inferior goal differnce. A noteworthy fact would be that in their last five head to head meetings, Inter managed to win four of them, while the other match ended in a 1-1 draw. Inter’s latest result is a goalless draw against the third placed Napoli, who occupie the last Champions League spot for next season.
AC Milan were coming out of five consecutive wins in Serie A before dropping to the ground against AS Roma. The Rossoneri barely had anything creative during 90 minutes, and their record for the higher placed Serie A teams speaks for itself. Even with Kaka, Balotelli and Muntari Milan cannot seem to be able to spot the net, and if they continue their mediocre performance, Seedorf will be powerless to salvage this season.

The winning goal in this type of matches always comes rather late, that’s why a draw at halftime might end up being not as farfetched as you think. We are going to bet 7 units on an outright Inter win at 2.80 with Bet365, although an AC Milan win has been priced up at 2.37 and a draw at 3.50. Both teams to score is at 1.61, and under two goals is at 3.75.

Liverpool vs Chelsea London [Recap, April 27th]

The Premier League clash between Liverpool and Chelsea London ended in a somewhat unexpected result seeing as the reds did not manage to score at least a goal. We were hoping they would score in both halves, but lost the bet placed with William Hill, and the opinions on who to blame would be divided.
Some would put the blame solely on Steven Gerrard after his error made Chelsea open the score on the last second of the first half. In our humble opinion, the blame should be either shared with Rodgers or put solely on his shoulders. The technician knew their title hopes relied on this match, he knew Chelsea would park the biggest bus in the city and he knew Mourinho would field a much weaker side considering his injury list.

Like many seemed to agree, Liverpool did not even need to win this, a draw would have been enough to keep them in the title race, and at the beginning Chelsea looked more than content with the draw. Granted no one would refuse to score given such chances as Chelsea got, but Liverpool do not know how to play and not concede, that’s their philosophy this year, and they stood by it.

Another highlight of the match, besides Chelsea’s second goal on the 94th minute, was Jose Mourinho’s decision not to field one of his prop excuses of a striker. Fernando Torres was introduced on the 84th minute among the most pronounced jeering and boo-ing Anfield has ever heard. A well-deserved and expected reception that had even some of the Chelsea fans smirking.

The title race is now all in Manchester City’s hands, they win, and they are Champions, while Chelsea will concentrate all their attention towards the Champions League, perhaps with 11 players to park the bus at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool vs Chelsea London [Prediction, April 27th]

April 25, 2014 0 Uncategorized

Chelsea London make the trip to Liverpool this Sunday, for the last big match of the season that could influence greatly the Premier League title race. While the bookies would have given both teams the same result, the fact that Mourinho declared he would rather play with the reserve team that risk injuries, Liverpool found themselves the favorites to win this match.

Two weeks ago Liverpool won another “title derby” when they won against Manchester City, and even with them being on the first place they have only managed to keep 10 clean sheets this season. Their main issue in the defense is based on individual errors and Sakho who has sparks of brilliance against faster opponents, slows down against regular ones. Luis Suarez is both Liverpool’s goalscorer and the one in charge with providing assists, so reserve team or not Mourinho has to look out for ways to stop him.
Chelsea London are experiencing problems at the end of the season as both Petr Cech and John Terry might miss out the rest of the season after picking up injuries in their first leg against Atletico Madrid. Even though Mourinho says they will field a reserve starting eleven, everyone wonders if he’s bluffing as he never before tossed important games aside when the title is under fire. Hazard is also under doubt and with only Torres left, the question remains whether Mourinho will trust him to be a part of his bus parking system.

A Liverpool win is at 1.67, a draw at 3.80 and a Chelsea win at the ludicrous 5.00. William Hill’s headline offers include Sterling to score and Liverpool to win at 5.00 and Salah to score and Chelsea to win at 15.00. We are going to bet 8 units on Liverpool scoring in both halves with William Hill, but if you bet on the correct score or double chance market and the match ends 0-0 the bookmaker will return your stake in form of a free bet.

Tottenham vs Fulham [Prediction, April 19th]

April 18, 2014 0 Uncategorized

Fulham will travel to the 6th placed Tottenham in search of those three points that will bring them out of the relegation zone. Even though the stakes are high for both teams, the hosts are supposed to win in order to distance themselves from Manchester United who have a game in hand. William Hill favor Tottenham to win and more than one goal to be scored.

The hosts had a draw in their last game which doesn’t help at all their hopes of finishing in front of a lack luster Man United. To their credit Tottenham displayed a far better character than their opponents as their managed to come from behind three goals and end the match in the draw we all witnessed. The 4-0 loss to Liverpool was their first in 5 matches, out of which they won two and recorded two draws. the injuries that affect both teams might end up being crucial for the end result of this match, even though Tottenham plays better at home where they won six matches out of eight.
Fulham on the other hand is after two consecutive wins, and the majority of their points come from matches against teams lower than them in the table. The visitors are tipped to stay in the Premier League, but the question is whether they will be able to do so by winning against Tottenham. Rodallega scored the only goal in the match against Norwich City, which proves that without having anything to lose; the teams threatened by relegation are always unpredictable.

William Hill has 1.51 odds for a Tottenham win, 6.35 for a Fulham one and 4.35 for a draw. Over 2.5 goals is at 1.58, both teams to score at 1.66 and Tottenham to score the first goal in the first half at 2.60. We are going to bet 8 units on Tottenham having a winning margin of exactly one goal at 3.50 with the same bookie.

Chelsea London vs Sunderland [Prediction, April 19th]

April 18, 2014 0 Uncategorized

Chelsea vs Sunderland is an interesting Premier League match if only due to the fact that while Chelsea are battling for the title, Sunderland are at the very bottom of the table, and would need more than six points to avoid relegation. It’s no wonder then that The Blues start as favorites with 888sport to win, as they have 1.18 odds to do so.

Not many would have seen Sunderland walking away with a point from the match against Manchester City, one could think that to an extent they didn’t even think so themselves. They could have walked away with all three points after Wickham’s brace, but a stunned City managed to equalize in the dying minutes of the match. By still having to play with Man United, Cardiff and Swansea, the Black Cats could have a shot at avoiding relegation. Their away form has them with three wins, five draws and nine defeats in 17 matches, going surely for the 10th in the match against Chelsea.
Chelsea managed to pull themselves together in the return leg against PSG, and now look confident enough to win every match that is left in order to win the title, and could do so even without Eden Hazard who is injured. Their latest away win against Swansea was with a minimal margin, as the Blue couldn’t score more against a team with only 10 men on the pitch. Chelsea might have some issues in the attack, but with their brilliant defense, the lacks are not that obvious.

An improbable Sunderland win is priced up at 17.00 and the eventuality of another draw at 7.00. Both teams to score is at 2.18, and a -1.5 Handicap for Chelsea at 2.50. We are going to bet 8 units on Chelsea London winning both halves at 2.5 with odds from 888sport.
