NAC Breda – Vitesse [Recap]

Vitesse won the match against NAC Breda, that took place in the Eredivisie competition on the Rat Verlegh Stadium. This also implies that I won the bet I made. The victory was a categorical one. NAC Breda didn’t score even once, while Vitesse scored 3 goals. The first goal came in the 32nd minute and was brought by Jonathan Reis. The second and the third goals were added in the second half of the game, one in the 56th minute, and the other one in the 68th minute. Both last goals were scored by W. Bony.

Regarding the possession of the ball, Vitesse was the undeniable leader of the chart. There were 4 corners for each team, 9 shots on target also by both teams, 5 shots belonging to NAC Breda and only 2 to Vitesse, 16 fouls for NAC Breda and 15 for Vitesse, and 3 offsides for NAC Breda and only one for Vitesse.

Regarding the number of substitutes, there were 5 in total, 3 for NAC Breda and 2 for Vitesse. In the 60th minute, K. Luijckx was replaced by M Seuntjens. The next substitution came in the very next minute, when E. Hooi was substituted for D. Verbeek. In the 75th minute, Eric Botteghin joined the game by replacing K. van der Weg. The other two substitutions took place in the 81st minute, when P. van Aanholt came instead of M. Yasuda and M. Havenaar instead of N. Hofs.
All in all, it was a nice match with a clean play and a predictable result.
