Maria Sharapova – Na Li [Prediction]

The first Grand Slam of the year has already reached the semi-finals. On the 24th of January, the tennis players Maria Sharapova and Na Li are meeting in the semi-finals of Australian Open.

The undeniable favourite at winning this match, the Russian Sharapova, is currently ranked 2nd in the WTA chart and has won 27 titles as a single player and 3 titles in doubles. Her earnings in tennis exceed 23 million dollars and, for the moment, Maria hopes to capitalize on Serena Williams’ demise, and win her fifth Grand Slam title.
The Russian has been in amazing shape since the opening of this Grand Slam, winning five matches and losing only nine games, which is a new tournament record.

However, her opponent, Na Li is relaxed and confident. Her new coach, Carlos Rodriguez totally encourages her after she became the Asia’s first Grand Slam champion.

All in all, I think this is going to be a tough match, with plenty of spectacular moments. Though, I choose to place a bet on Maria Sharapova’s victory. I bet 10 units at 1.20. The odds I used are from Bet365.

These were the matches from the Australian Open semifinals: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/21133423 …unfortunately, Maria’s evolution simply faded away in front of the Chinese Na Li. Li performed superbly and there she didn’t leave Sharapova too many choices left.

The odds from all bookmakers were revealing a great opportunity for the Russian. I, for example, placed a bet on her victory using odds from William Hill. I should have taken into account that Na Li has previously beaten Sharapova quite comfortably…
