With this loss against Catania, Siena seems doomed to join Pescara in the Serie B next season, after a year where they struggled, but didn’t manage to uphold that tiny lead that would have allowed them to stay in Serie A. Now they will have to struggle for that last breath of fresh Serie A air, and pray that other teams including Catania will continue playing good and help them overcome Palermo.

They could even challenge Lazio’s place seeing as there are only four points separating the two teams.
