The match from the French League I, that took place on the 21st of December between Paris Saint Germain and Brest ended in a comfortable 3-0 victory for PSG. This means that I’ve definitely won the bet I placed on PSG’s victory. This achievement will probably lead PSG to the top of Ligue 1 by the end of 2012.
Even if Alexis Thebault – the home goalkeeper – was in outstanding form, the Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic managed to break the deadlock in the second half after the hosts had been reduced to 10 players in the 35th minute, when Abdou Sissoko was dismissed.
The second and the third goals were inevitable. Pastore created room for Thiago Motto to score the second goal of the match. Even if his move was interrupted by Thebault, he eventually proved to be helpless. The last goal of the match was scored by Bernard Mendy, who deflected the effort of Jallet before finding the net.
All in all, Paris Saint Germain managed a neat, capital victory against their neighbors, Brest, and with this terrific success they are very likely to finish this year on top of the French League I’s chart.
Result: +5.7, bet won
